Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

The production filmed on location in Western Norway, using Mardalsfossen waterfall in Eikesdal as a dramatic natural backdrop for one of the film’s atmospheric sequences. The majestic waterfall — one of Norway’s tallest — provides striking Nordic scenery that enhances the visual scale and sense of rugged, untamed terrain in the scenes where the chase crosses remote European locales.
