2021 – Stadlandet

Based on Frank Herbert’s science fiction novel, Dune follows Paul Atreides, the son of a noble family tasked with protecting the most valuable substance in the galaxy on the hostile desert planet Arrakis. The film used Norwegian landscapes to realise Arrakis’ vast, elemental scale, with key sequences filmed at Stadlandet on Norway’s west coast — chosen for its windswept terrain and natural light that required minimal visual doubling.
