Nobody Wants the Night

2015 – Ulvik

Snow-covered Arctic plateau with distant mountains beneath a cloudy sky.

Nobody Wants the Night

A drama set against the relentless Arctic landscape, Nobody Wants the Night follows two women drawn together by love, solitude, and survival during a long and isolated wait for the man they both love.

Norway provided key real-world Arctic scenery to bring the story’s harsh environment to life. The production shot on location in Finse and surrounding areas in Western Norway, using the region’s stark frozen terrain to evoke the ice-bound isolation central to the narrative. Only a portion of the film was shot in Norway — the cast and crew spent a short, intense period capturing authentic outdoor scenes — while the rest was completed on studio sets elsewhere.
