Revolution

1985 – Hardanger

Still from Revolution showing a man held by British soldiers in colonial setting.

Revolution

A New York fur trapper is unwillingly swept into the Revolutionary cause during the American Revolutionary War, finding himself caught between survival, shifting loyalties, and the chaos of a country in conflict. As the war escalates, his personal journey becomes inseparable from the fight reshaping a nation.

Norway’s Hardanger region helped deliver expansive natural scenery for the film’s period setting, doubling for the United States. The fjord landscapes and rugged terrain provide a dramatic, untamed backdrop that supports the story’s frontier feel and the scale of wartime movement across vast environments.
