2011 – Svalbard

Frozen Planet

Frozen Planet

Produced for the BBC, Frozen Planet brings the polar regions to the screen in high definition, combining landmark wildlife cinematography with new technology used in some of the planet’s most remote environments. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough, the series documents life above and below the ice and includes filming in Svalbard, Norway, where the High Arctic offers rare access to ice-edge landscapes and extreme-season conditions.
