2002 – Svalbard

In Die Another Day, James Bond is sent to uncover the link between a North Korean terrorist and a powerful diamond mogul financing the development of a space-based weapon. The film’s Arctic-set sequences were realised through filming in Norway, using Svalbard and Jostedalsbreen National Park to double for extreme, ice-bound environments central to the story’s opening act and visual identity.
