Arctic Tale

2007 – Svalbard & Canada

Seal swimming underwater near sea ice in a cold Arctic marine environment.

Arctic Tale

Arctic Tale follows two intertwined narratives: the life cycle of a mother walrus and her calf, and the journey of a polar bear raising her cubs, illustrating the harsh realities of survival in the Arctic. Through intimate wildlife footage, the film shows how climate and shifting ice conditions shape every aspect of life in this fragile environment.

The documentary was filmed in the high Arctic, including sequences shot in Svalbard, Norway, where polar bears and walruses inhabit some of the world’s most extreme and visually striking polar landscapes.
