Filming in Eastern Norway

Eastern Norway offers varied landscapes for filming, from the high mountains of Jotunheimen to deep valleys, large lakes, wild rivers and dense forests. The region provides strong visual contrasts and a sense of scale, with Innlandet county particularly suited to winter conditions, open wilderness, and film-friendly communities. Productions such as Troll, Troll 2, and Three Wishes for Cinderella have filmed here.

The Eastern Norway Film Commission provides production guidance, while Eastern Norway Film Centre and Filminvest offer financing, and Filminvest also providing investment support. With easy access from Oslo and Oslo Airport Gardermoen, experienced crews, infrastructure, accommodation, and technical services, Eastern Norway is a practical and versatile location for Norwegian film productions and nature-based filming projects.
